It was a job they never wanted

That they had no training for

They just happened to be innocent

One of the seven, six or four

But, once they were convicted

Their fate was forever sealed

The scars may have skinned over

But their wounds were never healed

They were soldiers for justice

In a war they did not start

They fought until their dying breaths

To mend their broken hearts

It started with the Irish

From there, the ripples grew

To incorporate the injustices

Of the many, not just the few

What we were told were rarities

A system meant to protect us

Is an intentionally corrupt machine

We are all soldiers for justice

Our numbers rise each year

We will finish what they started

Until injustice disappears
